I’ve been guilty of using a proverbial you in past writings and it’s made me ask myself how can I expect the reader to connect when I am essentially hiding behind my thoughts. It has made me more thoughtful on how and when to approach a subject.

the “YOU” doesn’t help the reader. At least, that’s what i’ve noticed in my case while reading.
